Job Description

This unique position comes to market from one of the UK’s leading technology centers who are dedicated to the continuous advancement of technology and processes within the Manufacturing and Construction sectors across the UK.

Joining the Design & Simulation team you will work in a client facing role across a range of projects to deliver transformational change to clients from multiple industry sectors including rail, defense, power generation, O&G, ICT, Automotive and Aerospace. Your role will see you responsible for project-based creative problem solving, conceptual solutions, system design and optimisation.

Working in a client facing role this role will include some UK travel and involve leading projects 250k + in value from project bid through to end delivery. Projects will focus on conducting supply chain and construction site simulation studies to de-risk and optimise project solutions before physical commitment and investment takes place.

To fulfill this role they are seeking the following experience and skills:

-          Degree educated in an operations management/ research, mathematics, engineering or manufacturing subject


-          Able to demonstrate experience in construction site modelling and simulation studies


-          Experience in the construction sector with knowledge of key practices such as RIBA


-          Knowledge of and use of Discrete Event Simulation or System Dynamics


-          Good Programming skills such as VBA, C++ or Java


-          Willing and able to travel


-          Able to support and lead key projects in a customer facing role to meet SQCD targets
