You will be responsible for the design and technical coordination of multiple modular build projects, developing detailed designs that will realize the businesses architectural ambitions. This will include the design and management of product and project workflow as well as collaborating with colleagues in the commercial, production and construction departments to ensure design for continuous/repeat build, ongoing process improvement, increased productivity and a collaborative design approach.
Additional responsibilities will include coordinating the design and issue of design information packages into production, ensuring work complies with relevant building regulations and liaising with subcontractors and third party’s to ensure they are able to successfully meet design criteria’s set.
In return, you will be working in a high-tech manufacturing environment with exposure to modern construction methods. Joining the team during this early stage you will have a good opportunity for progression all whilst having the stability provided by their larger parent company.
To successfully fulfill this role they are seeking an experience design coordinator with the following skills/experience:
- HNC/HND or degree qualified in an engineering discipline
- Proven structural design experience – architectural, mechanical, modular systems or similar
- Strong 3D CAD skills ideally in the use of AutoCAD, Revit or Navisworks and/or other 3d modeling software
- Ability to design high quality, high tolerance structures for efficient and repeat manufacture.
- A working knowledge of building regulations and other related statutory requirements is beneficial but not essential
