This is a great opportunity to be part of a fantastic company in the Midlands who manufacturer a diverse range of tube manipulations and pipe assemblies. They are looking for an Engineering Manager who is going to be very pro-active and help drive their workforce. Driving new business and develop their relationships with their existing client, has proven very effective winning new business from leading HGV and Automotive companies. They are planning to keep up the great work and increase their product range.
Engineering Manager Responsibilities will include
Manage the Engineering and Tool Machining Team.
Devise techniques for maximising the output of work areas/facilities.
Responsible for the maintenance team and key areas of site security.
Lead and direct NPI Projects to Production release capability.
Provide strong leadership and vision to the workforce.
Work closely with the Operations Manager, HR Manager, Quality Manager and Purchasing Manager to achieve optimal operational site efficiency.
Participate in supervisory and management meetings as required.
Collaborate with support personnel and Team Leads to drive Lean Methodology and Six Sigma quality to include reducing cycle/flow times, improve process capabilities and reduce waste.
Tube forming or Steel manipulation industry preferable.
Formal training in statistical techniques in a manufacturing environment with Six Sigma training and/or certification highly desired.
Experience in training and coaching a World Class Workforce.
An experienced technical individual who understands machinery and shop floor terminology.
A customer focused Manager with demonstrated ability to schedule, forecast and meet deadlines.
A seasoned, experience manufacturing leader who can select, teach, coach and mentor a workforce to support quality-driven, customer-focused operations.
A believer and driver of continuous improvement activities that will deploy Lean Methodology and Six Sigma quality throughout the organisation.
A person with a high sense of energy and a pro-active approach to problem-solving.
A self-assured individual who inspires trust and confidence and focuses on the success of others through listening, sharing ideas and recognition.
An unwavering level of integrity and good business ethics.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office and MS Project; familiar with the use and application of CAD plus.
