Job Description

My client are a global leader in compliance testing helping their blue chip client base to ensure their latest technology is compliant with regulation and safe for sale internationally in time for product launch.  Customer facing this role will see you work with the latest in technology from across the sustainability, renewable energy, mobile security and nanotechnology sectors.

Accountable for a range of projects within your services you will execute and continuously monitor the operational performance and progress of these projects ensuring effective workflow through your department. In addition you will implement, manage and co-ordinate operational plans and strategies to encourage a positive work environment and successful project delivery.

Excellent leadership skills are essential for this role which oversees a department of 20-25 engineers and technicians working on a 24/5 basis. You will manage performance of these direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives and providing feedback and guidance in their day to day roles. The team are under pressure to meet a high workload and there are additional plans to grow the team further this year both in headcount and service offering.

Key skills/experience required for this role include:

-          Experience directly managing teams of employees and being accountable for their performance


-          Experience co-ordinating and managing projects in a customer facing role


-          A qualified engineer – ideally degree educated in electrical/electronic engineering or similar or HNC/HND plus experience


-          Experience in a high technology sector working with wireless radio technology.


-          A understanding of Radio technology standards
