Job Description

This is an opportunity for an experienced electrical/electronics engineer to join a leading global healthcare business helping them bring to market innovative new medical products that will improve the lives of people in the UK and abroad.

Their UK manufacturing facility utilises the very latest technology and world-class production processes to produce in-demand medical products within a clean room environment. Working in an R&D environment and as part of their development team, you will be responsible for designing manufacturing control systems that support the plant's ability to manufacture new products in increasing volumes. This will include PLC, HMI, Motion Control, Vision Systems, Instrumentation and PID Control for desktop prototypes and plant modifications.

Specific responsibilities will include:

-          Creating electrical and electronic schematics


-          Product development from initiation through to manufacture


-          Design of electronic systems and PCB design


-          Working closely with suppliers to source equipment, services, and materials for your designs

Sound interesting? To successfully apply for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:


-          Degree qualified in electrical or electronic engineering or HNC/HND plus experience


-          Experience in the design of complex engineering solutions


-          A innovative approach to problem solving

Experience within a regulated environment such as medical devices, healthcare or pharmaceuticals will be beneficial but is not essential. Regulated environments such as aerospace or defence would also be transferable.
