Technical Expert in Metrology required Coventry

Interested in contributing to the enhanced productivity of UK Manufacturing?

This role is a great opportunity to work with like-minded individuals, each an expert in their field to deliver transformational change to businesses across the aerospace, automotive, rail, marine, defence, power generation, ICT and Oil & Gas sectors.

Utilising your past experience you will carry out independent evaluation of monitoring and inspection systems within companies seeking to advance their manufacturing capability through investment in cutting edge technology, process improvement and/or automation of advanced metrology and NDT processes.

As subject matter expert you will act as technical lead for all metrology work undertaken within the group. Working closely with the senior management team you will ensure the successful completion of all projects whilst contributing to the development of future technology roadmaps. In addition you will support the development and mentoring of the engineers and senior engineers within the department.

Your role will also include promoting the businesses capabilities through publications in international journals and presentations at industry conferences.

To apply for this role you will need to evidence the following skills and experience:

-          Substantial work experience in an academic or industrial R&D environment in the area of metrology


-          Exceptional and broad knowledge in the field of metrology


-          Expert knowledge of the manufacturing sector and its systems and technologies


-          Proven ability to lead, coach and mentor people effectively
